Industrial Rope Rescue - Non-accredited

This non-accredited course covers the competency required to participate in rescue operations as a member of a rescue team. This course underpins specialist rescue operations.
The application of this unit in the workplace covers a wide range of rescue and environmental situations, which may include industrial, rural, bush and extreme environmental conditions.
The individual will work under supervision in a team but may be responsible for completing individual tasks relating to a rescue. The unit is typically performed by personnel from emergency services and/or volunteer organisations.
Courses may be contextualised to cover a variety of rescue scenarios using pre-rigged rescue kits or advanced rope rescue equipment. We specialise in the delivery of rescue courses including:

  • Bridge Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Dump Truck Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Drill Rig Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Escape Way Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Industrial Tower Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Jump Form Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Order Picker Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Roof Top Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Skylotec Milan Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • SpanSet Gotcha Kit Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Swing Stage Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Tower Crane Rescue & Evacuation – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Wind Turbine Ladder Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Wind Turbine Hub Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Wind Turbine Yaw Deck Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants
  • Wind Turbine Roof Rescue – 1 Day (4 hours) with maximum of 6 participants

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Who should attend?

This course is aimed at workers in any industry that may be involved in a first response rescue using workplace vertical rescue kits for a workmate retrieval. It is also relevant to mines rescue teams or emergency services personnel. It is recommended that participants have year 10 level reading and writing capabilities.

  • Personal hygiene
  • Procedures for reporting injuries and accidents
  • Relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Ropes and knots
  • Safety precautions

Certificate of Attendance in:
Industrial Rope Rescue – Non-accredited
